  3. Community Support

Businesses succeed when communities thrive and communities thrive when we care about the well-being and success of each other.

We believe that when you live and work in a community you should also give back to your community, which is why Rockefeller’s Companies have donated time, money, and services to countless New Mexico nonprofits, community programs and worthy causes.

University of New Mexico’s Tamarind Institute

The University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Tamarind Institute was founded as a means to rescue the dying art of lithography and create a pool of master artisan-printers.

Kelly and Larry Borgeson, owners and founders of Rockefeller’s Cleaning & Restoration Co. and Rockefeller’s Construction, Inc. earned their undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNM and are honored to have helped fund the Main Entrance of the new Tamarind building on Central and Stanford SE across from the main campus entrance. Kelly and Larry are grateful to Tamarind and UNM for the opportunity they had as students to grow as artists. Through their donation, they wish to express their respect for the cultivation of art for their family, community and world.

University of New Mexico Sports Programs

The Borgeson family are Lobo alumni, donors and enthusiastic supporters of the University of New Mexico’s sports programs. Each season, we look forward to cheering on the various teams, even traveling to see them play.

Rockefeller’s is proud to hold season tickets to the games and to sponsor a banner along the stadium soccer field. It is an honor to support a program that champions stewardship of the community through athletics.

Go Lobos!

University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts

Kelly and Larry Borgeson are faithful supporters of the College of Fine Arts and both have Bachelors and Masters of Fine Arts. Larry holds his degrees in photography and Kelly’s are in drawing and painting.

The College of Fine Arts fosters critical thinking about the evolving history of human expression; educates artists and future audiences for the arts; aspires to deepen our understanding of what the arts have meant to the cultural heritage of New Mexico, the Americas and the world.

University of New Mexico Hospital

Kelly and Larry Borgeson are founding members of Circle of Dreams, a recognition society for individual and corporate donors. At UNM Children’s Hospital, all children receive the best medical care, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. “We donate because it allows us to strengthen, even in a small way, the circle of support for each child during this critical time” says Kelly Borgeson.
